So it has been a while. School here is something totally different from the US. Here they have a lecture once a week and a seminar where you meet in smaller groups and discuss the lecture. In one of my classes, we have a group project, in which I have made some new friends. A couple of weeks ago I had a uniquely British experience and went to a Pub Quiz. A pub quiz is a quiz that takes place while people are drinking so the answers get crazier and crazier as the night goes on. I have also had a week off this week so a friend and I traveled to Edinburgh and Dublin. In Edinburgh since we where there on Halloween we went on a ghost tour and saw a pagan ceremony of the changing of seasons. Dublin was pretty but as it rained for most of the one day that we were there we did not get to do as much but it was still fun and very expensive.
Have a Happy Guy Fawkes'/ Bonfire Night!

Arriving in England!!!!
So I have finally arrived to England. The first couple of days have been beautiful, a little cold especially coming from Georgia, but beautiful! My landlady and her family are extremely nice. On the first full day in England I explored Kingston. This is a beautiful city and a lot smaller then any city in the US. Everything is so close together so while I do honestly miss my car but you don't need one. London is an incredible city and extremely close to Kingston. With an Oyster Card it only cost 7.50 pounds to get travel the entire day! Shopping is another experience. Since I'm taking the bus everywhere, we have to walk back to the bus stop. But me and the friend that I went shopping with did make it work. I will try to keep up with this blog.

Counting down the days!
So it is less than a month away until I leave for England. It is weird trying to pack everything that you need into one to two suitcases, especially when you're not sure about the weather. While I've lived overseas, Germany's climate is a bit different. Oh well, I'm sure everything will be ok. Whatever I don't bring with me I can always purchase over there. I guess I will end this posting and continue waiting for the days to slowly tick by.

My First Blog Ever
So I just created this blog. Even though this is meant to be a study aboard blog, I thought that I would document the entire process. So I have been accepted to Kingston University in Kingston-upon-Thames near London. I'm the first to go from CSU so I'm super stoked.
So a little about me. I just turned 21. YAY!!! I'm a senior history major. I live in Evans, GA near Augusta. I'm an Army Brat. I have been to England before, but am still excited to be spending 3 to 4 months there.
I'm leaving in September, I'm waiting for the school to send me the visa info so I can get started on it. Also, I just bought my very first suitcase that is all my own.
I guess this is all for now. I will try to keep this up and document my journey in England.
